Autumn Leaves

Sooner than we thought, summer will be almost as a forgotten season of this year and in its place the autumn will install with its chilly mornings and with its time for school. Every time when the autumn season starts, most of the children know that it is time for school…again.

Often the autumn is associated with a fairy who brings fresh fruits and many other delicious and tasteful vegetables. Using this beautiful and interesting personification, children from … are able to understand better the seasons of the year, especially when they can associate them with these fairy-seasons. The characteristic feature of this mysterious fairy are the fruits and the vegetables with which she is equipped on. The specific fruits with which she is associated with are the apples, grapes and peaches.

But not only this is the interesting thing that happens during fall season. People are used celebrate the crops of this season showing their appreciation for the harvest, for the fruits and for the vegetables. Almost every culture has at least one celebration on their calendar dedicated to autumn. In China, for example, people used organize an autumn festival, also known as the Moon Festival. The predominant mood of these autumnal celebrations is a gladness for the fruits of the earth mixed with a certain melancholy linked to the imminent arrival of harsh weather.

Many times, in poetry autumn is being associated with melancholy or nowadays with depressive moments. In literature many writers took advantage of these exclusive season and have tried to describe it in various ways, using its features and its colors. For many writers fall season was perceived in different ways: for some writers autumn was described as a lifeless season and for other writers this season was described as an optimistic one: with beautiful birds and its rusty colors were associated with warm colors. But about the influence of the autumn in literature remains the subject for the next time.
